Grape Card/CDS Color Challenge

I made this card for the CDS Color Challenge over at Paper Craft Planet. Shawne is the host this week and the colors that she chose are: only orangeorchid opulence(medium purple/dark lavender)green galore(lime green)white and/or black neutral.

When I saw the colors I thought Grapes!

So I used 2 different stamps from CDS :Fruity Fun & Just Divine (which I think is being retired).

I stamped the bowl in gold and stamped vines and grapes on it and paper pieced it.

I used my nesties for the white & orange cs. The dp is from Memorybox Butterfield, I don't have a corner rounder so I did the corners by hand. I ran a piece of lime green cs that I had through with my swiss dot embossing folder. The ribbon was actually from Blog Candy that I won from Shawne (thanks again:)) It matched beautifully. I made the grape charm using the same grape stamp I used for the image and added laquer to it and attached with a jump ring, I tied a little piece of green ribbon for the vine.

These colors were so much fun!

Eyelet Card/Whimsy Stamps Challenge

Here is a card I made for Whimsy Stamps Challenge it is to use eyelets.

I don't have very many eyelets but now that I have used them a few times, I'll have to go buy some more.

I used a snag'em stamp from the Twitterpated collection called Wildflowers colored with Zig markers. The dp and paper flower was from blog candy I just won and couldn't wait to use. I stamped Happy Birthday in gold (which shows up much better in person). I put eyelets in all the flower centers.

2RedBananas Banana Split Sunday

2RedBananas has their Sunday Challenge, today is "Bag, Boxes or Wrappings".
I created a little box for some note cards I am making for my boss for Christmas.
The note cards are going to monogrammed with the colors orange and mint green. I found the dp that matched to cover my white cardstock.
I didnt use a template for this I just went off the size of my notecard. I did leave a little room on the side for a pen or pencil/stamps.
I decided to keep it very simple and I like the way it turned out.

Tuffet Bday!

My card for the CDS Color Challenge over at Paper Craft Planet I created using the adorable stamp that I won. It is called Get Off Your Tuffet from CDS.

The colors this week are Sage Shadow (light almost mint green)Apricot Appeal (soft yellow)optional: Really Rust (orange red)Close to Cocoa (brown)neutral Vanilla or White.

Well my Apricot Appeal looks more orange than soft yellow but the marker said light apricot.

I knew I wanted to use this stamp and went through my dp and found some paper called Miss Muffet Collection-Tuffet- from Piggy Tales. the red seemed to match and the other side of the paper was mint green so I thought it would work well.

I stamped my image twice and paper pieced the girl. I used my octagon nestie and cut the bottom off so I could cut the seat and make it look like fringe. I colored her with zig markers and flesh white copic. The ribbon was also from my blog candy that I won from Shawne. The dew drops are white ones that I colored with a mint green Copic to match. Joanns is now selling the dew drops and I had been wanting some so I went with white since you can color them with Copics and they turn out great.

The Blog Candy I WON

Here is the wonderful Blog Candy that I won from Shawne.

The ribbons are gorgeous and I cant wait to use the paper.

She sent me a stamp from CDS called Get Off Your Tuffet and another yard of beautiful ribbon that are not in the photo, I was using them:)
She sent me the card that she created for the CDS Color Challenge that week and I can tell you the photos do not do this card justice. It is amazing.
Thank you so much Shawne.

Pumpkin Patch/Whimsy Stamps Challenge

Here is my card for the Whimsy Stamps Challenge. This challenge was for your Fun Fall Colors!
I used a cute paper that I had in my stash that had orange stripes. and a solid yellow green sticker paper on a chocolate cs base. I wanted a card that I could easily mass produce if I decided to send photos this Thanksgiving. I used orange cs and my round nesties to make the pumpkins.
I folded one circle in half and glued it to another circle added the green ribbon and then glued it to the card. There are 3 pumkins in our pumpkin patch (my DH, DD and myself) The "Welcome To Our" was computer generated and the pumpkin patch stamp came from CDS.

Christmas card/MMSC17

Here is the card I made for Midnight Madness sketch challenge
I didn’t use any stamps for this card, it is all (except the cs base and red brads) from a kit I purchased from a catalog.
I added the red brads from my stash.
I just didnt add the the ribbon on the sides.
Midnight Madness has some really great sketches and there are always a lot of people playing. I enjoy looking through everyone’s creations.

2RedBananas Stripes & Dots challenge

2Redbananas challenge this week is Stripes & Dots.

I made this card originally for the CDS Sept Guest Designer spot and liked the way it turned out.

I didnt win so thought it would be ok to repost it for this challenge since it fits pretty well.

The gumball machine is from CDS. The paper is My Mind's Eye Dreamy 2 (the pink striped paper) & Sassfrass Tutti Frutti (the circle paper). The Tutti Frutti paper reminded me of gumballs.
I stamped my image on white cs and cut it out and adhered it to pink cs that was cut using my octogan nestie. I colored it with Zig markers and added some small gems to make the gumballs standout. I added some of the gems on the bottom of the image cuz we all remember dropping some of our gumballs when trying to remove them from the machine:)

I added 3d lacquer to the globe. The yellow ribbon and oval gem came from The Dollar Tree

Father's Bday Card

I made this card for my father's bday coming up this month.
The stamp set is CDS Watermill.
I colored it with copics, sponged the sky with chalk.
I stamped the wheel twice and cut it out and pieced with a brown brad.
I added silver jellyroll glitter to the water.
The paper is from Crate Paper called Tulip , I thought the red textured paper looked like the side of an old barn.
The ribbon is from The Dollar Tree and I attached my stamped image to the red paper with small metallic brads also from CDS.
My Parents live in TN and there is still an old Mill standing and this stamp reminded me of that.
I thought my dad would like this.

Shawne is hosting and the colors that she chose are:

I had this cute paper from Memory box called Butterfield and I thought it would go great with the August SOM Blown Over. I created a folded card out of white cs, kinda like a stair card but I turned it vertical.

I stamped and colored the bird house with a Zig marker in rose and then cut it out. The little bird I colored yellow and adhered to the birdhouse. I added yellow ribbon to the side.

CDSWCC34/Thinking of You

My card for the CDS color challenge at Paper Craft Planet.

The colors are: Not Quite Navy (dark navy blue)More Mustard (mustard yellow)Basic Gray (dark gray)optional: Baja Breeze (light blue)neutral: white or vanilla.

I used Dk gray for my base, solid navy for the center, more mustard for the container of flowers and light blue for the sentiment.

The image is CDS Everyday Jar-gone. I stamped the container on mustard paper added some larger beads to bottom to dress it up. The flowers I cut the stems and just added them to container. I used stickles for the flower centers, colored the flowers with pure pink and pure yellow Zig Markers.

my senitment is stamped on a circle that I folded in half. I used the navy cs and folded two corners over and adhered my container to it. This way to fold a card makes a great way to give the gift of money. Just slide it in the opening.

CDSGDC0909/Clear Dollar Stamps Guest Designer Challenge

I enter every month, even though my cards pale in comparison to the other talented ladies who enter. One day you never know and it is fun regardless!

The challenge this month was a sketch, color or both.

I went with the sketch because I just recieved my order from the Grand Opening new stamps and wanted to use the gumball machine. I had two papers that I thought were perfect.

My Mind's Eye Dreamy 2 (the pink striped paper) & Sassfrass Tutti Frutti (the circle paper). The Tutti Frutti paper reminded me of gumballs.

I stamped my image on white cs and cut it out and adhered it to pink cs that was cut using my octogan nestie. I colored it with Zig markers and added some small gems to make the gumballs standout.

I also used 3-D lacquer on the front to make it look like the glass ball the gumballs are in and of course you remember getting gumballs out of the machine and dropping at least one.

I used yellow ribbon and the oval gem came from The Dollar Tree.

Peek-a-boo card

I made this peek-a-boo bday card today. I was just playing around and decided it would be cute.

I used plain white cs and cut two circle (not all the way around) using my nesties and extra cs to cover this section for my hinge. I added the frames using nesties as well.
The stamps : candle w/confetti, bday package and on the outside of the window I used CDS card directions and stamped "lift" are from CDS and the sentiment inside the window is from an asst I had. I just inked one side at a time. The little lift opening is from a corner of a flower punch that I had.
Happy is in the top circle(You cant really see it in the photo) and birthday is in the bottom (you can just see a little bit)
The ribbon is from Joann's.
This was a lot of fun to do once I got the cutting with the nesties part down and the possibilities are endless.

My mother's Bday card

My mothers birthday is at the end of the month and this is the card I made for her.
I had it finished last month and its been waiting patiently to be mailed out.

The stamp is Penny Black it is called "Cute" that I colored with Copics. The base is black, the pink swirl cs I had in my stash. I used my nesties Labels one and my circles (I cut in half) for my shapes. I ran the circles through with my swiss dot embossing folder. The balloons are clipart that I cut out and used liquid glaze to make them shine like real ones. I added to adhesive pearls to the frame.
