CDSWCC34/Thinking of You

My card for the CDS color challenge at Paper Craft Planet.

The colors are: Not Quite Navy (dark navy blue)More Mustard (mustard yellow)Basic Gray (dark gray)optional: Baja Breeze (light blue)neutral: white or vanilla.

I used Dk gray for my base, solid navy for the center, more mustard for the container of flowers and light blue for the sentiment.

The image is CDS Everyday Jar-gone. I stamped the container on mustard paper added some larger beads to bottom to dress it up. The flowers I cut the stems and just added them to container. I used stickles for the flower centers, colored the flowers with pure pink and pure yellow Zig Markers.

my senitment is stamped on a circle that I folded in half. I used the navy cs and folded two corners over and adhered my container to it. This way to fold a card makes a great way to give the gift of money. Just slide it in the opening.

CDSGDC0909/Clear Dollar Stamps Guest Designer Challenge

I enter every month, even though my cards pale in comparison to the other talented ladies who enter. One day you never know and it is fun regardless!

The challenge this month was a sketch, color or both.

I went with the sketch because I just recieved my order from the Grand Opening new stamps and wanted to use the gumball machine. I had two papers that I thought were perfect.

My Mind's Eye Dreamy 2 (the pink striped paper) & Sassfrass Tutti Frutti (the circle paper). The Tutti Frutti paper reminded me of gumballs.

I stamped my image on white cs and cut it out and adhered it to pink cs that was cut using my octogan nestie. I colored it with Zig markers and added some small gems to make the gumballs standout.

I also used 3-D lacquer on the front to make it look like the glass ball the gumballs are in and of course you remember getting gumballs out of the machine and dropping at least one.

I used yellow ribbon and the oval gem came from The Dollar Tree.
